The Body Shop® difference: The white Frangipani (Plumeria obtuse) is a small tree that grows up to 24 feet in tropical climates. The scented, creamy white flowers have a bright yellow center with elegant, rounded flowers that produce a gorgeous, soft perfume. Frangipani has been planted around Asian temples for centuries as a symbol of immortality as the fallen flowers keep their color and perfume for quite some time. In India, the frangipani tree is known as “the tree of life”. It’s said that if a broken stem is placed in the earth, new growth would appear and it would continue to live. We chose this ingredient for our Spa Wisdom collection to be symbolic of new life and beginnings.
