Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this Wash All members of our household use this product. It is great for everyone's skin type. I only wish The Body Shop would bring back the 400 ml bottle. We go through it pretty fast! June 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Product Line for Breakouts I'll be turning 24 this year and after struggling with acne for years, I've finally found a product line that has continuously helped clear my skin and keep breakouts away. I've tried ProActive, Oxy, and even prescriptions like Epiduo. I'd heard of Body Shop when I was in high school and decided to finally try their products early this year. I have been washing my face daily with this cleanser, as well as using the toner and tea tree oil from the same line since January and have noticed a significant difference in both my breakouts and redness. After the success of these three products, I've been eager to try the other tea tree products. I looked into the night lotion in April because of my dry skin and the scars left behind by acne and have been pleased with the results so far. I can't imagine looking anywhere else for blemish-clearing products now! I can't say for sure how long the regular size in the face wash would last if you're concerned about value - but I am only halfway through the Jumbo size after 5 months, despite my bad habit of using more of the product than I likely need. June 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by confidence boost As a young adult who still suffered from severe acne I was constantly embarrassed about the appearance of my face. However, when my wedding was approaching I thought to myself " I need to be responsible about taking care of my skin " so I did some research which lead me to the Body Shop and Tea Tree and I will never go back to my old ways! This cleanser has cleared my skin up and it only breaks out about 75% of the time. I use it twice a day every day (except when I use the other tea tree exfoliators to get a deeper clean every so often). It is so gentle yet so powerful! I have even gone so far as to keep extra bottles in my closet so I never ever run out <3 May 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Real Deal After a long, long battle with acne and blemishes, this is the only product line that has actually worked for me. The tea tree oil is both refreshing and great for killing bacteria. The bottle also lasts me about six months, which is way longer than any store-bought product has done for me. Follow up with the toner and a moisturizer. If you have combination or oily skin like myself, I might also invest in an exfoliant. The PH of our tap water also has a tendency to dry my skin out, so I've used moisturizers from other product lines. May 15, 2016

    Answer:
It's no problem! The "oil" part of tea tree oil is not the same kind of oil you are thinking of. I have oily skin (very oily) and it works beautifully for my skin. It actually helps reduce the oil a bit, to be honest.

    Answer:
I first was skeptical because I have oily skin that is VERY prone to breaking out. After reading all the reviews I figured I'd try it. I'd tried everything else, may as well give this a shot, I thought.

After using it for a very short time I was in love. I ended up purchasing just about the entire Tea Tree line within a year or so and couldn't be happier.

I was most skeptical about the Tea Tree Oil because I didn't understand how putting oil directly on my breakouts could possibly be a good thing. Once again, I read the reviews and finally gave it a shot. Now, second to the face wash, it's probably the most used Body Shop Tea Tree product I use. I absolutely love it. I don't know how it works and I really don't care... just as long as it's doing a wonderful job I'm super happy!

If you're unsure about it, try the face wash and see what you think. Honestly, what have you got to lose? I guarantee you'll love it and come back for the rest of the items.

The thing about this one is, it doesn't even make your skin oily. Because I have oily skin too with acne and I thought it will but no, it didn't. I love this product so much that I don't think I can go anywhere without it.

    Answer:
First of all, tea tree oil is powerful in combating acne and moisturizing at the same time. I found this product a bit drying, but easily countered with a good moisturizer.

Secondly, oily skinned people tend to dry out their skin with products. This actually forces the skin to produce MORE oil. If you combat oily skin with a product with good oils in it, like tea tree, it could help your oily skin in the long run.

Thank you for contacting The Body Shop. For cleansing the sensitive eye area, we recommend Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover or Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash is not recommended for use around the eye area.

I might compare the sensation of tea tree oil to that of peppermint or menthol. It does have a bit of a "refreshing" feel, but it may feel like a burn with more sensitive skin.

    Answer:
This lasts a long time - i can see how foaming soap wouldn't last long. So this product, you don't need a lot to wash your face, like a pea size drop on your hand so my bottle is lasting a while now. I would think a bottle would last at least 1/2 a year.

    Answer:
    Hi Chloe,

thank you for your interest in The Body Shop's best-selling Tea Tree line. How long a product lasts will depend on your frequency of use. If you are interested in The Body Shop's Skin Clearing Facial Wash and are concerned about quantity, we would recommend investing in the Jumbo Size that's available now - it will definitely last longer! Here is the link for The Body Shop's Jumbo Tea Tree Facial Wash: http://www.thebodyshop.ca/en/whats-new/new-in/jumbo-tea-tree-skin-clearing-facial-wash.aspx

If you're interested in super-sizing the rest of your Tea Tree collection, The Body Shop also offers the Tea Tree Toner and Tea Tree Oil in Jumbo Sizes! You can learn more about these products here:

    Answer:
I haven't personally used the foaming, but a friend of mine has and she agrees that the facial wash lasts longer than the foaming wash. I don't know how long the foaming would last for, but I know that I don't run out of the gel wash for a month or more!

I would use this as opposed to the foaming formula as I find it seeps into your pores more. Work into a lather though! I would also recommend combining it with the tea tree toner for added benefits!

    Answer:
I would say that is normal, your skin is purging the impurities. Give it time, your skin will clear up but you have to think it wasn't completely clean (meaning your pores) when you began using the product.

I probably would not use the seaweed moisturizer, stick with the tea tree products if you are trying to cut out acne.

    Answer:
I think this is normal! It happened to me to, so I started using other products. This cleanser doesn't seem to successfully remove all the dirt from my face like my old cleansers did, so I started breaking out even more! I think too, that putting oil on my face caused me to break out. Although I do think this line is successful for everyone, it was not for me. I would suggest the seaweed line. I have switched to the seaweed cleanser and it does a really great job at deep cleansing. I would also recommend the vitamin C microdermabrasion (I use twice/week), because it really scrubs the dead skin off my skin. These two products have cleared my skin up!

    Answer:
Cut down on the amount of products you are using, as you are using too many skin care products. Less is more! It could be the seaweed moisturizer too. All you truly need is the cleanser and moisturizer. Be certain to wear sunscreen each and everyday!
