Rated 5 out of 5 by AWE!!! Nothing can compare. A little goes a long way! I use a few drop when I shampoo my hair and I can see that it help in control oil and dandruff so good that I could not complain! April 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love This It's a great product. I mostly use it to prevent blemishes, so I put a thin layer after a toner I get from the drug store. I'm glad they have the bigger bottle now. April 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product I've used to many different products to get my chin acne under control. It has never been crazy but each pimple replaced the next one and so on. It annoyed me like crazy because I was eating healthy and working out a lot. So I have started on a new routine. Morning and evening: First Nivea Cleansing milk, then The Bodyshop Vitamin E moisturizer and the Tea tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion and then dap the Tea tree oil from The Bodyshop on before bed. It works great and I haven't gotten any new pimples since starting this routine. Try it! :) March 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Hidden Gem Found! I am so happy I found this product! It's natural and gentle on my skin compared to the benzoyl peroxide clean and clear persa gel which i used to use. on the first day of purchase i tried it out on a pimple that was starting to show and within only 30 min i already saw the pimple reducing in size. The only thing is the smell is quite strong, but from using is daily it actually is a very calming and soothing scent. Now tea tree oil is part of my everyday skincare routine. i would recommend this product to anyone who is struggling with acne and is searching for clearer skin. March 14, 2016

    Q&A for Tea Tree Oil
    Sort by
I recently went out and purchased the tea tree oil, toner and facial wash. After applying the toner to my face it began a stinging sensation that went away within seconds, as did the oil. I do have very sensitive skin but out of control acne and after a prolong regiment of creams and pills prescribed by my dermatologist, it's as if my acne comes back in hyper mode despite the skin routine I've done for months. I really am hoping tea tree oil is the answer to clear up acne scars and etc.

    Answer:
Most of the time it takes a while for our skin to get use to one product and see the results. Everybody has different skin types and effects on the products. I will suggest to continue to do this for 2 weeks or more and see if there's any changes or not. I experience the same thing but after a while I realized, it is probably cleaning my skin from inside out. I hope this product will help you as it did for me.

    Answer:
I'd say yes, it felt that way for me for the first few times I used it. But now it's more a just slight tingle. But if you put it on cuts or open zits it'll sting a lot for a second or two! I'm sure it'll greatly improve your acne. I tried everything, even acutane, which worked beautifully while on it, but once I stopped it came back wayy worse than ever before! So I gave up on the dermatologist and have been testing out practically everything at the body shop and it's made a huge improvement. I use the tea tree, seaweed and vitamin e ranges in unison.

    Answer:
Yes, The Tea Tree Oil does sting just a tiny bit at first, but to me that means it is "working". It will not cause redness, drying or peeling as with some other "zit zappers". Give this a chance and you will see how much it improves your skin.

    Answer:
I would suggest that you use the toner first and apply the tea tree oil on acne and breakouts and then apply moisturizer on your face. If your skin other than the acne and breakouts is generally dry, you could use the moisturizer first avoiding the acne spots and dab the tree oil on them afterwards. This way you'd be able to avoid applying the oil all over your face while you put on moisturizer with the same fingers! That's from my experience, hope it's useful.

I would recommend applying it before toner and moisturizer, because it is kind of like a treatment. If you have already layered toner and moisturizer before applying, then the result might not be as effective.

    Answer:
Before applying Tea Tree Oil, you want to tone your skin, but apply the oil before ANY other moisturizers (including Drops of Youth). This will allow it to penetrate further into your skin and act faster. Once it absorbs into your skin, apply your regular moisture routine. (I used to work for the company)

    Answer:
Actually seems a bit redundant to me to use both.

I have used all the main tea tree products... cleanser+toner+moisturizer always a good combo (though I switch out the toner for a less harsh one) but I didn't find a big advantage to using tea tree oil on top of those. The oil totally on its own is pretty great though. :)

    Answer:
Ususally you just apply the tea tree oil once a day, it is a very strong and concentrated product. If you use it too much, it could potentially dry out and really irritate your skin. A skin care consultant at the body shop told me that you might not even need to use it once a day, just whenever you notice a blemish coming, or when having a serious breakout. (if you're using it for acne)

    Answer:
I feel as though the amount you apply it varies person to person. There is alcohol in this product, so I was initially worried it would dry out my skin; it did not.
I found that I love this product in conjunction with my moisturizer; I put several drops in with my moisturizer day/night when I apply it and I've found I haven't had to use this oil as a spot treatment anymore. I simply haven't had a breakout in months. (This still boggles my mind.)
If you still have concerns about how often to use it, I'd start using it once a day then move to two and so on. If you notice any adverse reactions (dryness/flakiness/irritation/itchiness/redness) just scale back your use again.
    Good luck!

If so, how many times per day/ per week am I able to use this on this area?

    Answer:
    Hello Neria,

thank you for your interest in The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil. While Tea Tree is great for healing and acting as an antibacterial, it isn't going to address your hyper-pigmentation. Depending on how new your piercing is, our Trainer recommends the following:
    - 0-12 months: Tea Tree is the way to go. Applying it once in the morning and once at night;
    - If your piercing is over 12 months old, try The Body Shop's Moisture White™ Shiso Concentrated Target Perfector once a day, at night. It'll take about 28 days for you to start seeing a difference in the pigmentation.

    Hope this helps!

    Answer:
Tea tree oil is more for helping out with acne rather than hyper-pigmentation. However, I do know some ways to help you out! Vitamin E oil/ enriched products are super great for skin, and helps a lot with hyper-pigmentation, and will do your skin a huge favor! Another way is to lighten your skin! This may sound scary but it's really not. I would suggest you just apply some raw honey to those over pigmented areas, since honey has lightening effects. :) I hope this helped you out!

I would use the Vit E oil serum to fade away any pigmentation issues. It has helped with fading my scaring.

I'm not an expert, but the tea tree line I believe is meant for blemished/acne skin and would possibly make your situation worse. If you go into the store, they can give you a nice hefty sample to fix your issue.

    Hope this helps!?
