Rated 5 out of 5 by Refreshing! I switched to this toner from the nutriganics toner. I am so happy that I did! This toner is super refreshing the way I feel a toner should be but it doesn't tighten my face too much and I still feel clean. I will suggest this to everyone! May 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Such a great toner I've used a bunch of different toners in the past but I always felt they didn't do enough or just dried my skin out too much or even burned. This one is a great toner, doesn't dry out my skin and I feel like my skin is really clean after using it. Sometimes I will use this mid-day especially after being outside for a long time, it helps to freshen up my skin and clean the dirt I've collected outside. I use this twice daily and have felt a big difference in my skin since I started using it. March 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by in love with this I used to apply toner all the time several years ago, but I eventually stopped because of 1) gross alcohol smell and 2) dried the heck out of my skin. Now that I'm back in the groove of taking care of my skin, I'm in love with this toner. Great scent and gets the job done. February 18, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Toner This toner really does get rid of oil, but only for a little bit. This will definitely not control combo/oily skin for the entire day, nor do I feel it helped reduce oil after using it for awhile. It dried out my skin a little bit when I first started using it, but it doesn't do that anymore after my skin got used to it. It doesn't cause breakouts or irritate, which is great. December 30, 2015

    Q&A for Seaweed Toner
    Sort by
I just bought a Seaweed toner today and used it for the first time. As I applied it with a cotton pad it burned my skin. It wasn't a terrible sensation and I wasn't sure if that was part of the effect or if its not a good product for my sensitive skin. Should I keep using it and let my skin get used to it, or is the burning/tingling sensation a warning for me to stop?

    Answer:
I'd suggest you stop using this particular toner. I use this and it doesn't burn me at all. It just tingles a little but in a pleasant way and feels very refreshing. Perhaps you should return it and try the aloe toner and products . I use these also and they are very easy on your skin. Hope this helps.

    Answer:
I think some tingling is normal. I actual like a tingling sensation when I use toners and similar products. You also described it as "burning", though, so maybe you should check with a dermatologist, since that word can mean different things to different people. I think what you're feeling could very likely be normal, though.

    Answer:
You might be allergic to the ingredients. Make sure to check for any pre-existing skin irritants you have that might be in the toner.

    Answer:
It's not a powerful acne fighter, but I use it in the morning to prep my skin for the day. The Tea Tree line is good for acne fighting, I use that when I get breakouts.

    Answer:
YES! it helps reduce redness and clears the impurities that can cause acne. It helps clear up the oils on your skin that cause acne and if you pair it with the Tea Tree oil it'll help clear any break outs.

    I hope this helps!

I noticed in the ingredients several alcohols, I am wondering is the product in fact contains alcohols, or if by alcohol is meant ethanol. Thanks in advance.

The Body Shop® difference: Our seaweed is wild harvested off the shores of southwest Ireland by our Community Trade partner, the Roaring Water Bay Seaweed Co-operative. They take care to cut the seaweed from a rock with a sickle, leaving the “hold-fasts” attached, so it can draw nutrients from the sea water. Seaweed that has been torn from its “hold-fasts” or is washed up on shore is never used. Any seaweed harvested will re-grow fully within two years, making it a fully-sustainable, environmentally-sound crop.
