The pracaxi tree grows in the wet tropical climate along the Delta of Amazonas River and its precious seeds are cold pressed for its oil. White nettle is traditionally used on oily and greasy hair due to its mild-cleansing properties.
We buy Community Trade sugar from the Montillo Co-operative in Paraguay and aloe vera from the Guastatoya Farmers in Guatemala. Our trade rewards local suppliers fairly for their expertise, and helps them invest in their futures.

Nettle extract

Acts as a balancing tonic on the hair. Is astringent, without stripping the hair of its natural oils as this only encourages the scalp to secrete more sebum.

Wild-harvested seaweed

Is renowned for its conditioning and hydrating benefits, while its non-oily nature makes it particularly suitable for normal to oily skin.

We use Bladderwack seaweed from The Roaring Water Bay co-operative, south west of Cork, Ireland. Set up in 1993 to address the problem so many communities face where local young people have to emigrate to find work, this co-operative protects the local environment and invests profits back into the local community.
