Rated 4 out of 5 by Does the job Got this as part of a gift set a few years ago for a housewarming. It does a good job of exfoliating dead skin, but it's a touch harsh. Overall though, a good amount of product for the price. Even better on special. Worth a shot - just make sure you scrub gently. February 1, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Perfume scented....too strong for me! I didn't get a chance to even test out the scrub because the scent was too strong and perfume-y for my liking. Had to return it. January 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Loooved this product This is the first time I use a scrub and i'm so glad I used this one. Other than the fact that it smells and feels amazing, I instantly felt a difference especially since I shave. I use the Vitamin E body lotion after the shower and the results are amazing. Rated 4 out of 5 by COCONUT BODY SCRUB I love the fragrance of coconut and this product is very creamy, unlike a lot of scrubs. My body is silky after washing it off. However nowhere on the lid, nowhere on the side label or even on the bottom label did it state "DO NOT APPLY TO THE FACE". It was not until I peeled back the bottom label to review another label with the ingredients did I read this. This is not only an inconspicuous place to have something so important to know, it is very, very tiny print. This is not a good thing to read especially since I washed my face with it every time. This needs to be in a more obvious place. Thank you. November 25, 2015

    Sort by
it doesn't really help. I've heard coconut oil/coconut in general is suppose to help. My skin is very fair and sensitive. Any suggestions?

    Answer:
I've worked in natural living for about a year and i would not recommend coconut oil for acne. I don't work for the Body Shop but I used the coconut scrubs and I think they're too fragranced for sensitive skin. I love the products but I also breakout easily and wouldn't recommend either fir the face. If youre looking for a moisturizer I have found the Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying w SPF is the best. I love coconut oil for your skin but I am VERY careful and sparingly to use it on my face no matter what other NL specialists or brands say

    Answer:
I have bad keratosis pilaris, causing white-head/pimple like bumps on the back of my arms. Using the coconut scrub and a body butter has worked wonders for me. It hasn't cleared them all up but enough for me to be able to be confident in tanks again! I would certainly suggest buying.

    Answer:
I've used virgin coconut oil before as well. It works great unless you have a food allergy. As long as it is pure coconut oil, unbleached and no preservatives, you should be fine. Try a small area first.

    Answer:
The Coconut Body Scrub is works great to exfoliate and moisturize the body. Exfoliating is an essential part of your skin and body care routine. When we don’t exfoliate we run the risk of dead skin cell build up. This will make your moisturizer sit on top of your skin rather than sink in and moisturize. This can leave you feeling as if your moisturizer is just sitting on your skin and as a result can make you break out. Our daily recommended Body Care routine is Cleanse, Exfoliate, Moisturize and Target. We would suggest using the Coconut Body Care Range to Cleanse, Exfoliate, Moisturize and use the Tea Tree oil as a target spot treatment on your problem areas.

Thank you for contacting The Body Shop! In addition to exfoliating your skin, Coconut Body Scrub contains coconut oil and coconut milk which soften, moisturize and replenish skin.

After using the Coconut Body Scrub, you can then apply our Coconut Body Butter, a moisturizing cream providing 24 hours of skin hydration.

    Answer:
It removes dead skin by exfoliating all the dead skin away. The result is smooth skin but because it is a new "layer" of skin, it will become dry if you do not moisturize after using this. Just follow up with body butter!

I have to be very careful in the shower. Does this make the tub slippery?

  • KEY INGREDIENTSShow

    • Virgin Coconut Oil

Our Community Trade virgin organic coconut oil comes from coconuts that are organically grown in Samoa. The nuts are gathered, selected and cracked by hand, and the flesh is cold-pressed. Our trade with Women in Business Development Inc supports several community projects, such as teaching local farmers new skills. To find out more, visit our Community Trade section. Our Community Trade virgin coconut oil skin and hair care products from Samoa helps to moisturize and soften skin and hair.

    • Marula

We work with the Eudofano Women’s Co-operative in Ondangwa, Northern Namibia, to source our Community Trade marula oil. The marula tree is held to be sacred to the people of Ovamboland, and Namibian women have traditionally used marula oil for generations to smooth and moisturize their skin. Now the 1750 Namibian women of the Eudofano Co-operative are building a business and a future on the ancient wisdom of marula. The oil they produce is cold-pressed to preserve its high quality, and enriches our makeup products with its hydrating and smoothing properties.

    • Soya Oil

We source our Community Trade organic soya oil from Gebana Brazil. Gebana produces soya oil from GM-free, organically grown soya beans cultivated in the hinterlands of the Iguazu River. Gebana comprises around 350 families, mostly smallholder farmers. We have been working with them since 2006, because Gebana differs from much of the soya farming industry, which is one of the major contributors to deforestation in Brazil, by promoting sustainable farming methods and organic produce. Our Community Trade Soya oil products restores precious moisture to the skin and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth with no tightness.
