Rated 5 out of 5 by Another Winner from BodyShop I am a guy and I HATE putting "stuff" on my skin. I live in a very dry part of the country and have no choice but to moisturize. This stuff goes on fast after a shower and doesn't stay greasy or smell too strong. Absorbs fast. I love it. Great for pouring into a warm bath as well. Doesn't irritate my skin. March 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Cocomazing! so before bed, twice a week I wash my face with the Vitamin C microdermabrasion scrub to get of all the nasty and gross dead skin cells, then after I put about a quarter sized amount of the Coconut Oil on my palm and I dip my finger in and then slowly work it into my face. My skin immediately feels softer and has a much better glow to it. I use it separately from the Vitamin C scrub during the week as well, and plus I am just obsessed with smelling like a coconut and this definitely helps that! i highly recommend it! May 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for hair I use this on my hair and it makes it amazingly soft! I usually apply a generous amount of this oil, and leave it on for an hour or so before I shampoo. I also run a couple of drops through my hair when it is damp. This routine has been working great for my hair. It feels softer than ever. January 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth it A little goes a long way with this product. I mainly use it for my hair because I like it when my hair smells good. Who doesn't? I start at the tips and work my way up. Then I spray their coconut mist in the air and let the mist fall onto my hair so my hair can smell as good as the rest of my body. Yep. December 30, 2012

    Answer:
Thank you for contacting The Body Shop! The Coconut Beautifying Oil was formulated with organic community fair trade coconut oil and marula oil to add hydration and sheen to the skin and hair. Cocoa butter is an ingredient that has been known to aid with stretch marks.

    Answer:
Any oil or moisturizing cream that you add to your skin will help to make it softer and complement elasticity. So yes, this may help although it is not guaranteed to "prevent" stretch marks. Fact is, those are determined most by genetics

I received my product several days ago. I didn't pay attention until I wanted to use the coconut oil. There are little tiny brown stuff in the bottle. They will be on bottom if no one shake it. May be it is the coconut skin??

    • Marula Oil

We work with the Eudofano Women’s Co-operative in Ondangwa, Northern Namibia, to source our Community Trade marula oil. The marula tree is held to be sacred to the people of Ovamboland, and Namibian women have traditionally used marula oil for generations to smooth and moisturise their skin. Now the 1750 Namibian women of the Eudofano Co-operative are building a business and a future on the ancient wisdom of marula. The oil they produce is cold-pressed to preserve its high quality, and enriches our products with its hydrating and smoothing properties. Learn More →
