Product description

Best if you want to: Indulge your skin and senses in a moisture-rich, ultra-creamy body wash that creates a decadent chocolate-scented lather.

Best for: very dry skin

How it works:
  • A cleansing ingredient made from Community Trade cocoa butter acts as a detergent that creates foaming, cleansing bubbles.
  • Community Trade organic soy oil is very rich in essential fatty acids that help to restore skin’s natural moisture barrier, so skin is softer and smoother.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cocoa Butter??? Everything about this product is awful. I can't believe how bad the smell is. I have been a customer for so many years, and this product is by far the worst I have ever used. I will stay far away from it! July 24, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by The smell is NOT good I wanted to love this Cocoa Butter Creamy Body Wash. I adore the Cocoa Butter Body Butter and use it frequently. In fact I'd never had any fruit/nut scent I didn't like from The Body Shop. There's always a first time for everything. The formula is very good - extremely gentle and perfect for my eczema. However, I can't get over the smell. To me it smells like very old lip balm. Like something that has been in my pocket for 30 years. Really waxy and unpleasant. It smells NOTHING like the body butter. Nothing. And while I'm at it, I do not enjoy the cocoa butter lip balm. Very chocolately. Also like old bonnie bell lip smackers chocolate flavor. But at least it smells better than this creamy body wash. I might try another creamy body wash/shower cream but I've been really turned off by this experience. I can't even give it away to someone, because I don't want them to have to live through smelling it. December 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not a fan of the smell Lathers nicely and moisturizes well but I'm not a fan of the scent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] November 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I have to have it all the time now. After ordering this once, as a person who has stretch marks on her legs treated of a combination of this product and the body lotion, I definitely recommend this product to everyone. It lathers great. The smell is decent, but it's not fantastic. I will always return for my fix. July 16, 2015

  • KEY INGREDIENTSShow

    • Cocoa

Our Community Trade cocoa butter is sourced from the Kuapa Kokoo Farmer's Union in Ghana. Now one of the largest Trade co-operatives in the world, Kuapa Kokoo has grown from a few hundred small-scale farmers to over 50,000. The cocoa butter we receive from the Farmer's Union helps make up the luxurious, moisturizing, nourishing bath & body products we offer, and gives back to the Union by providing a steady income so that they can improve their living standards and invest for the future.

    • Soya Oil

We source our Community Trade organic soya oil from Gebana Brazil. Gebana produces soya oil from GM-free, organically grown soya beans cultivated in the hinterlands of the Iguazu River. Gebana comprises around 350 families, mostly smallholder farmers. We have been working with them since 2006, because Gebana differs from much of the soya farming industry, which is one of the major contributors to deforestation in Brazil, by promoting sustainable farming methods and organic produce. Our Community Trade Soya oil products restores precious moisture to the skin and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth with no tightness.

  • about productShow

The Body Shop® difference: Our cocoa butter is made from cocoa beans that we buy from our Community Trade partner, Kuapa Koo Ltd. in Ghana. The cocoa pods, which resemble a half-sized football, grow straight out of the trunk and thicker branches of the cocoa tree. The pods are cut by hand from the tree using a long-handled knife, and the beans are scooped out and fermented. After being dried in the sun, the finest beans are sent to Holland, where they are grinded and pressed into the cocoa butter that we use in our products.
