Lychee is a wonderful fruity scent that works well in Body Shop's shower gel and lotion. However, it is rather strong in a lip balm. Because this lip balm had sparkle in it, it's not as smooth and moisturizing as Body Shop's other lip balms. It was fun to try. It may be more appropriate for a younger girl.

I ordered this lip balm off this site about a year ago, I was just getting into falling in love with lychee scents and I have to say, this is perfect. The smell is spot on, very sweet and enjoyable. It's like lychee candy, though. I'm very glad this is a clear lip product, it holds true to lychee! It has a white translucent look to it, so it would look good on anyone. That is, unless you hate shimmer. This lip balm is loaded with shimmer. I personally LOVE shimmer. The texture also is a bit jelly-like, it kind of reminds me of carmex (only higher end, more solid, and without it burning my lips!). The application is tacky, it stays put- but isn't sticky! When it comes to moisturization, my lips do feel moisturized after using this. But, if you had terribly chapped lips- no this wouldn't work. I don't believe it heals lips. And the shimmer can be felt on the lips and is a little gritty. But, how enjoyable the texture and scent is, the gritty doesn't matter to me. :) I look past it because the smell is spot on! Body shop, how do you do that? :D
The only downsides to this lip balm is that the container is messed up and the lip balm goes back down into the container when you roll it up and apply it. The design of the container could be improved. So it can be hard to apply at times. Another, of course, is the price tag. $7.00 is kind of high (I think it should be less). I would place this lip balm on the same level as Labello/Nivea lip balms (that means a lot coming from me, because Nivea and Labello lip balms work best for me!!! They are my favourite!), only those are less than half the price. It also, doesn't taste good- it doesn't taste terrible, but why are you wanting to eat off your lip balm anyway?
If you don't know what lychee is, or smells like... Do not get this lip balmbalm (that is...unless you're adventurous. But at $7.00, do you want to risk that?). If you do not like the smell of lychee, or shimmery lip balms- stand clear. If you're after tint, perhaps choose a different born lippy? There's no point in you buying this one, not liking any of it's aspects (to begin with) and then scaring away people who love lychee, in the reviews. The Body Shop did this smell perfectly for lychee lovers.
Now, if you love lychee, shimmer and clear lip balms. This is perfect for you! Being a lychee fan, I ended up buying a second one of these lip balms and I also bought two of the lychee lip glosses :) but that's a different review. ;)

Rated 3 out of 5 by Supersarah Looks nice, but tastes bad
Bought this because i just wanted a clear, nice chapstick. However, turns out it has sparkles, which after a few uses weren't so bad. The stick does not stay up when you roll it up to apply it. Whenever i press it to my lips it just rolls back down and is very irritating. Also, it tastes terrible... Maybe lychee tastes bad and I wasn't aware of that, but this is not yummy. The moisturizer is average, nothing great. I MUCH prefer the Vitamin E lip moisturizer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LippyPerson I like the smell and the texture on my lips. I rarely see glitter on my lips which that is a good thing. However, it is too oily. I had to apply a droplet of organic peppermint oil to make less oily. It is a good lip balm-gloss product but it is too oily.
