The Body Shop® difference: North Western Bee Products in Zambia has been providing us with the highest quality organic beeswax and honey since 1991. The beeswax in our Vitamin E Lip Care stick is unique because it is harvested from wild bees living in hives built high in the trees. The North Western Bee Products organization consists of about 6,000 beekeepers in the remote Miombo woodlands of northwest Zambia, where beekeeping has been practiced since the 19th century. Through Community Trade, we have helped provide them with a secure, fair income that has improved the standard of living and education, and opened up the traditionally male activity to women.

Organic beeswax

Moisturizes and helps to condition dry skin, especially on your lips and around the fingernail beds. Acts as a barrier that helps to seal in moisture. Helps to keep product texture consistent when used over time. Plays a part in protecting and preserving the forest as well as providing necessary income for the beekeepers, an increasing number of which are now women.

Coconut oil

Organic Virgin Coconut Oil helps to condition the skin and hair to make you smooth, soft and deliciously scented. It also supports small, organic coconut farmers in Samoa, where there are few opportunities to earn a decent wage. Learn More
