The Body Shop® difference: The organic olive oil in our Vitamin C lip care stick comes from our Community Trade partner, the Nuovo Cilento Co–operative, in the beautiful, but poor Campania region of Italy. The high–quality oil, which comes from 400–year–old olive trees, is considered one of the best on the market. After the olives are harvested, they are cold–pressed using large granite wheels. The careful low–temperature processing of the olives ensures that the oil’s acidity is low and the high antioxidant content is maintained. What’s more, the co–op now has over 250 members and has seen its community and business grow since it began trading with The Body Shop®.
