Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Oily Hair I've never had oily hair before in my life. Since having my second child, my hair has been so oily and I've been struggling to find a shampoo that works. This shampoo is it! My hair feels great and doesn't look oily. It's exactly what I need! September 17, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Below the average I purchased this for helping with my oily hair. However, my hair still feels oily the second day after washing with this shampoo. There is no strong smell of this product, it's fine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] August 24, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not Impressed I purchased this shampoo hoping it would help with my oily hair but I found it just made it look more greasy! I didn't even care for the smell of it. I have to even rub it in my hands before i put it in my hair or else it's really sticky and hard to massage into my head. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone and will not be buying anymore shampoo from the Body Shop. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] July 22, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love / Hate Relationship I have oily hair and I'm a daily shampooer. I have mixed feelings about this shampoo, mainly because it doesn't lather well so you need to use more and even so it's not super bubbly. I have the similar feelings toward the conditioner, it's not as nice and rich as other conditioners when you squeeze it into your hand so you really need a lot. Both products just feel very 'meh' when you use them. But at the end of the day my hair does feel clean, non-oily. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] February 22, 2016

    • Aloe

Our Community Trade organic aloe Vera comes from the rich and bio-diverse south-east Mexico, on the Yucatán peninsula. We work with the Campeche Farmers, who cultivate aloe Vera plants on organically-certified land, close to three precious rainforest biosphere reserves. They supply The Body Shop with 100% organic, preservative-free concentrated aloe Vera gel for our Aloe skincare range. The Body Shop's Aloe range helps to minimize the signs of sensitivity to soothe signs of irritation and with regular use will help build the skin's natural defense against skin aggressors.

The pracaxi tree grows in the wet tropical climate along the Delta of Amazonas River and its precious seeds are cold pressed for its oil. White nettle is traditionally used on oily and greasy hair due to its mild-cleansing properties. We buy Community Trade sugar from the Montillo Co-operative in Paraguay and aloe vera from the Guastatoya Farmers in Guatemala. Our trade rewards local suppliers fairly for their expertise, and helps them invest in their futures.

    • Overactive sebum production can leave excess oil on the scalp, which can be increased by washing, so try to avoid washing oily hair everyday.
