Seaweed Clarifying Toner

How it works:

Community Trade bladderwack seaweed, which is naturally rich in nutrients and vitamins, balances, purifies and clarifies skin.
Algae extract balances and hydrates skin while reducing oiliness.
Cucumber extract refreshes and purifies skin.

The Body Shop® difference: Our seaweed is wild harvested off the shores of southwest Ireland by our Community Trade partner, the Roaring Water Bay Seaweed Co-operative. They take care to cut the seaweed from a rock with a sickle, leaving the “hold-fasts” attached, so it can draw nutrients from the sea water. Seaweed that has been torn from its “hold-fasts” or is washed up on shore is never used. Any seaweed harvested will re-grow fully within two years, making it a fully-sustainable, environmentally-sound crop.

Glycerin

Cleanse first, using Seaweed Purifying Facial Cleanser or Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash, to remove make-up and impurities. Exfoliates to remove dead skin cells using Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator two or three times a week, Tone using Seaweed Clarifying to refresh and purify the skin while removing excess traces of facial wash or cleanser. Moisturize using Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion SPF 15 or Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream in the morning and Seaweed Clarifying Night Treatment at night.

Saturate a cotton wool pad and sweep across a cleansed face and neck.

Community Trade Information

We use Bladderwack seaweed from The Roaring Water Bay co-operative, south west of Cork, Ireland. Set up in 1993 to address the problem so many communities face where local young people have to emigrate to find work, this co-operative protects the local environment and invests profits back into the local community.
