Support Community Trade

If you could buy a fabulous pampering product that benefits a community somewhere in the world, why wouldn't you?

The Body Shop® spends around $11.5 annually buying ingredients, gifts and accessories from communities across the world, paying a fair price and giving producers access to a global market that would normally be out of their reach.

Thanks to your purchases, over 25,000 people in more than 20 countries across the world are earning a fair wage and working in fair conditions.

Bag for Life
Our reusable, organically-grown cotton bag is produced without the use of harmful pesticides. It's made in India by our Community Trade partner, Teddy Exports. We donate $2.00 for every bag sold to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. All that, and it carries your shopping home for you too!
Community Trade Marula Oil
All of our Lip Colors and most of our makeup contain luscious and moisturizing marula oil from Namibia. Through our supplier, women-owned and operated Endafano Women's Cooperative, more than 4,800 women now receive a fair income, and with it greater independence and sense of standing in the community.
Skin Care with a Difference
All of the skin-soothing products in our Aloe range contain 100% hand-harvested, Community Trade aloe vera from Guatemala. So it's not just your skin that feels the benefit. Your purchase also helps farmers receive a fair price for their fantastic aloe and provides educational materials for local schools.
