Located on Mauritius, an island in the Indian Ocean, Craft Aid provides employment to people with disabilities and marginalized communities with employment opportunities, enabling them to become more independent and experience an increase in self-esteem. Of the 160 people who currently work at Craft Aid, 40% have disabilities. All workers are paid and treated equally and share benefits—free medical allowance, sick pay and bonuses.
