Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this oil I use shea butter and when I'm in a hurry, usually in the morning; I rub this oil on my legs and arms. I haven't used it on my hair yet, but will soon. I have given this oil as a gift and everyone loves it. I have a spare one on hand, but it takes a long time to use. I just love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE it! I am in love with The Body Shop oils! Since my skin is normally dry, dull & ashy looking I use tons of moisturizer daily. No more! Just a few drops of shea or argon body oil after my shower or bath and my skin is smooth, glowing and beautiful! Love it!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thumbs up It doesn't have the exact same smell as, say, the body butter or lotion because of the other nut oil fragrances; but it does work and smell great :) This and the satsuma are my favorites from this oil line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Feels amazing! I have purchased several of the body oils and this one was my least favorite because of the scent. I have the Shea body butter and shower cream and fell in love with the scent and feeling it left on my skin. I was a little disappointed that this product didn't smell like the others in the line. Oh well, I use it anyway because it makes my legs feel awesome after shaving.

    Answer:
I love using it for both. I am half Italian, and therefore have oily skin/scalp, but dry ends. I love to goop up at night (I use different oils at different times as well) and the morning shower washes away the grease without drying my skin.

    Answer:
    Hi LeahCoombs,

thank you for your interest in The Body Shop's hydrating Shea Beautifying Oil. This product would be great for stretch marks, but we would also recommend our Cocoa Butter Moisturising Stick. The concentrated cocoa butter helps target rough patches, dry skin and works great for pregnant women who want to prevent stretch marks - we designed it with pregnant women in mind!

    Hope this helps!

    • Marula

We work with the Eudofano Women’s Co-operative in Ondangwa, Northern Namibia, to source our Community Trade marula oil. The marula tree is held to be sacred to the people of Ovamboland, and Namibian women have traditionally used marula oil for generations to smooth and moisturize their skin. Now the 1750 Namibian women of the Eudofano Co-operative are building a business and a future on the ancient wisdom of marula. The oil they produce is cold-pressed to preserve its high quality, and enriches our makeup products with its hydrating and smoothing properties.

    • Shea

Our Community Trade shea butter is hand-crafted in Ghana by the Tungteiya Shea Butter Association is made up of over 475 women in 11 villages around Tamale, northern Ghana. Each woman takes two days to carefully produce the 25kg of butter; the rich kernels of 28 shea nuts are packed into every ultra-moisturizing Shea Body Butter. Our trade partnership with the Tungteiya Association has provided them with income and money to fund water pipes, access medial care and better housing and education. They ultra-nourishing shea butter we receive from them makes up our highly-nourishing, best-selling Shea bath & body range.
